I know I haven't written in awhile and wanted to catch everyone up on The Gent's Place current events. We have been extremely busy and I am finally getting a chance to write about some of our happenings and successes. I think a bulleted list is probably the easiest at this point...
1. The Texas Hold'em tournament was a huge success. We raised over $1200 for Mrs. Frisco and her great causes. Thank you to all who attended and also to a very special TGP Regulars Club member that donated over $500 that night!
2. The next event at The Gent's Place should be a beer tasting with Gordon Biersch, a microbrewery and restaurant located in The Shops at Legacy in Plano. We are trying to line something up for early to mid-April. Because of the high demand for our prior events, we will give priority booking to our TGP Regulars first and then open it up to the rest of the group. If you get the invite, I would highly suggest an RSVP immediately as we have limited space available.
3. The Gent's Place was just featured in The Dallas Morning News F!D Luxe section of the newspaper. We are honored to be considered the classiest barbershop and spa in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex (not to mention The Gent's Place was listed FIRST out of an already established group of barbershops).
4. I get this question about a dozen times a day on average; "How are things going?" The answer is we are doing VERY WELL. I truly believe that we are providing a high quality service, value, and overall experience that is unmatched in our industry. Our clients tell us they enjoy the uniqueness of The Gent's Place atmosphere; a refined, yet casual destination where you can relax, socialize, and experience one of the most unique service menus in the industry that is tailored to men only.
5. Finally, I just want to say thank you to all of our clients, clients' significant others, friends, and advocates of The Gent's Place. You are making the building of this business a fun and exciting experience for me and our staff.
First, thanks to all of you that showed up to the whisky tasting last Tuesday. We had 60 clients and guests attend, great food, great networking, and intense teaching of each of the four Glenmorangie single malt scotches tasted. We have our next TGP event this Friday to benefit a great cause that Jennifer Johnson, Mrs. Frisco 2009, is championing in our local community. Mrs. Frisco continues to support our community and families living with AD/HD by providing them access to seminars, certified guest speakers in the field, and support groups through the National Organization C.H.A.D.D. (Children and Adults support with AD/HD).

I am pleased to announce a new GP Regulars Club Membership perk for you serious spirits connoisseurs. Beginning March 1st, we are now allowing GP Regulars Club Members only to bring in their favorite bottle of liquor for safekeeping in our Members Only bar cabinet. We will clearly label your bottle(s) with your name and will only make it available to you and anyone else you would like to share it with. Our exclusive Club is gaining members every week and is already one of the elite men's business networks in Frisco.
If you have already been to The Gent's Place a couple of times and truly enjoyed yourself, you should really consider joining The Club and going where everyone knows your name and your favorite drink!
