Of Course We Serve 'Adult' Drinks!
I was just catching up on reading the comments today and wanted to provide some clarity on a few comments you guys made:
1. One concerned fellow wondered if we were serving adult drinks. The answer is Hell Yes We Are. Our major competitive advantage is that we will actually have a good selection of beers. I will accept drink selection feedback on a continual basis, so if you are a regular at the place, let me know what you like so I can try to accommodate. In addition to wine, we may even sneak in a few scotches and bourbons if you are lucky.
2. Are we Knockouts Haircuts for Men #2? No, fortunately we are not nor do we ever want to be.
3. I appreciate the good wishes from several of you on us opening the business. Things will never be perfect at The Gent's Place, but you bet we will try our damned hardest to get as close as possible. Please email me directly at ben@thegentsplace.com with any constructive feedback on how we can make your experience more enjoyable. I mean this.
I probably shouldn't be telling you guys this...
We received a question through our site today that asked if the 50% off gift cards could be applied to one of our yearly memberships at its full value. I knew it was only a matter of time before ya'll wised up and realized how great of a deal this gift card promotion is. Yes, if you purchase a gift card online for 50% of its normal cost, you could redeem it towards either the 3, 5, or 7 Course Memberships once we open. We will likely lose money on these memberships as your average price per cut will approach a can of SPAM. I guess I am counting on you to enjoy the place and want to re-up your membership on renewal so we can turn a profit!
Remember, the 50% off gift card promotion only lasts until 12/15.
The Online Store is Growing

I would never be so presumptuous to put us in the same league as the Ritz Carlton before we even open, but I did stumble upon a Frisco-Online forum member who felt the comparison was reasonable. I appreciate the confidence you've placed in us and can at least agree with you that we are not modeling our business or service offerings after Motel 6.
